Open Social Web

About This Mission

The Open Social Web is a mission to build a decentralized, interoperable, and user-controlled network of social platforms. It seeks to replace corporate-owned social media with community-driven alternatives that respect privacy, freedom of expression, and data ownership. Projects in this space aim to empower individuals and communities to connect, share, and organize without surveillance, algorithmic manipulation, or platform lock-in.

Main Objective

When at least 2 billion people have the majority of their online social presence established on open, interoperable social platforms, where they are in full control of their own data and identity, and no single corporation keep a majority share of the market.
